Horn Not Okay

About Me

The 24/7 blaring of car horns, the rushing of vehicles, and the screeching of brakes can make it hard to live a normal and healthy life. It’s time for us to pay attention and make a change. The World Health Organization warns that traffic noise can lead to sleep difficulties, fatigue, headaches, high blood pressure, hormonal imbalances, stress, and an increased risk of heart disease.

My name is Rajat Agarwal and I live in Mysore, Karnataka. I started this website with the mission of making our roads safer and quieter.

I hold a degree from Bryant University, USA with a double concentration in Management & Economics. I worked for a start-up consulting firm by an ex-McKinsey employee in Boston for 3 years, moved back to India in 2006 and then worked in the family business of aluminium extrusions. The company was sold to YKK AP, Japan in 2013 and now I continue as a Director, in India for YKK AP.

The vision of this website is to be a one-stop information repository of all topics, trends and technology relating to noise pollution and road safety, thereby enabling its visitors to take action and contribute to making the roads in our lane, city, district, state and country safe and noise-free!
